2 Corinthians 4:6 KJV For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
There is hope today because of that Easter morning ! Sin has caused darkness in the realm of all who have been born into the world causing us to live in the bondage and confinement of darkness. We who had no hope,no light,no joy have seen a glorious great light. Matthew 4:16 “The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.”This light has brought liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison doors to those that are bound.
” In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”John 1:1-5
You don’t have stay in darkness and captivity HE LIVES ! And because he lives we can face tomorrow.
Revelation 21:1-3 KJV And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Revelation 21:10-17 KJV
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
That is basically a little farther than Birmingham ,Alabama to Phoenix ,Az.
If you divided up the city in mile cubed rooms that would be 33,75,000,000 rooms!
If you spent 1 minute in each room it would take you 2,343,750 days or 6421 years 232 days or 91.7 lifetimes to view the whole city.
1 Corinthians 2:9 KJV
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Don’t you want to go there!
“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” Jesus birth represented the redemption plan for man being put in action. Messiah had finally come! How sad that so few were looking for him. Only Simeon and Anna the prophetess were looking for the redemption of Israel. “And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.
I wonder how many are really looking for the second coming of Jesus Christ? Will it be in like percentage as the first coming was? Are we more concerned with how many shopping days till Christmas ,gift lists recipes and decorations that that day could come upon us unawares?
Didn’t the angel say it was good tidings of great joy to all people? Let us not forget this christmas time the purpose for which we were put into the kingdom. Let us pray without ceasing and herald the plan of salvation and the soon return of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!! He could come back this Christmas season. Will you be ready?
Psalm 100:4-5 KJV Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Thanksgiving gains us entrance into his presence! Let us give him thanks continually for he is good and his mercy endures forever. We pray that your family is blessed in the Lord this year and ready for his coming.
Psalm 86:5 KJV For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
